Car
If you're traveling by car, start by navigating to the A10 motorway. From there, head towards Ostend (Oostende) via the N34 highway. Once you reach the city limits, follow the signs for 'Oostende Centrum' and take the exit toward 'Slipwaykaai'. Keep an eye out for local parking signs as you approach Slipwaykaai 1, where Ancien bateau is located. Parking options are available nearby, but be prepared to pay for parking, which typically costs around €2 per hour.
Train
If you prefer public transport, take a train to Ostend from your location in West Flanders. The main train station in Ostend is 'Oostende Station'. Once you arrive, exit the station and head towards the bus stop located directly outside. Board bus line 3 or 4, which heads towards the 'Oosteroever' area. Get off at the 'Slipwaykaai' stop, which is just a short walk from Ancien bateau at Slipwaykaai 1. Train tickets typically cost around €10-€15 depending on your departure point.
Bus
For those traveling by bus from other parts of West Flanders, check the local bus services that connect to Ostend. You can take any bus that heads to 'Oostende Station'. From there, follow the instructions for the train option above or walk towards the coast, which is approximately a 20-minute walk. The scenic route along the beach can be quite enjoyable.
Walking
If you're already in Ostend and prefer to walk, head towards the coast from the city center. Walk south along the beach promenade until you reach Slipwaykaai. The walk from the main shopping area (around the main square) takes about 15-20 minutes. This route offers beautiful views of the seaside and is a pleasant way to approach Ancien bateau.
