From the center of Ypres, head towards the main square, the Markt. Look for the large Cloth Hall (Lakenhalle) which is a prominent landmark. From the Cloth Hall, walk straight down the main road, Boterstraat, until you reach the Ypres Railway Station. Once at the station, take the train towards Lille. The train journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Lille's main station, Gare de Lille Flandres, exit the station and find the signs for 'Place Augustin Laurent'. It's about a 10-minute walk from the station. Head northeast on Rue de Tournai, turn right onto Rue de la Gare, and continue until you reach Place Augustin Laurent where the Beffroi de Lille is located.
