Car
If you are driving to Sapodilla Waterfall, start from the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve main entrance. Follow the signs for the Pine Ridge Road. Continue straight until you reach the junction where you will see a sign for the San Antonio Road. Turn left onto San Antonio Road and continue for about 7 miles. You will pass through some beautiful scenery and possibly see some wildlife. Once you reach the village of San Antonio, look for the signs pointing towards Sapodilla Waterfall. The waterfall is approximately 2 miles further down a dirt road. Please note that a 4WD vehicle is recommended for the last stretch. The dirt road may be bumpy and can require a small fee for maintenance.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you can catch a bus or shuttle from San Ignacio to San Antonio. From the San Ignacio bus terminal, take a bus heading towards San Antonio. The fare is usually around BZD 5-10. Once you arrive in San Antonio, you can either hire a local taxi or find someone to share a ride to the waterfall. The taxi ride should cost you around BZD 20-30. Make sure to negotiate the price before getting in. The taxi can take you directly to the entrance of the waterfall.
Walking
If you prefer to walk and are already in San Antonio, you can trek to Sapodilla Waterfall on foot. The walk is approximately 2 miles along a dirt path leading to the waterfall. Ensure you wear sturdy shoes as the path can be uneven and slippery. It may take roughly 30-45 minutes to reach the waterfall, depending on your pace. Be mindful of the local wildlife and stay hydrated.
