Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the town of Dangriga, the capital of the Stann Creek District. Head west on the Southern Highway (Hwy 1) for about 12 miles (19 km) until you reach the intersection with the Stann Creek Valley Road (Hwy 3). Turn right onto Stann Creek Valley Road and continue for approximately 8 miles (13 km). You will pass through the village of Valley of Peace. Keep an eye out for the signposts leading to Barton Creek. Once you see the signs, follow them for another 3 miles (5 km) until you arrive at Barton Creek. The road can be bumpy, so drive with caution. Parking is generally available at the creek entrance.

Public Transportation
To reach Barton Creek using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Dangriga heading towards Belmopan. The buses leave regularly from the main bus terminal in Dangriga. Ask the driver to drop you off at the intersection of the Southern Highway and Stann Creek Valley Road. The fare is usually around BZD 2-3. From there, you can catch a local taxi or hitch a ride along the Stann Creek Valley Road. The taxi fare to Barton Creek from the intersection is about BZD 15-20. If you prefer, you can also walk the remaining 3 miles to the creek, but it may take around an hour.
