Getting There

If you're driving from Punta Gorda, head northwest on the Southern Highway (Hummingbird Highway) for about 30 miles. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you towards Independence and Mango Creek. Once you reach the intersection for Independence, turn left onto the road leading into the town. Continue until you reach the Unnamed Road (GJP2+F49) where Malacate Beach is located. Follow this road until you see the beach access point.

Public Transportation
From Punta Gorda, take a bus or shared taxi heading towards Independence. The fare is generally around BZD 5-10. Once you arrive in Independence, you can ask the driver to drop you off near the Unnamed Road (GJP2+F49) which leads to Malacate Beach. You may need to walk a short distance (about 10-15 minutes) from the drop-off point to reach the beach.

For the more adventurous, renting a bicycle in Punta Gorda is a great way to explore the area. Start by heading northwest on the Southern Highway and then follow the signs towards Independence.
