    From Comoe National Park, start your journey by heading southwest on Route N1. Continue for about 70 kilometers until you reach the town of Tanguieta. Here, you should refuel your vehicle and consider stocking up on snacks or water if needed. After Tanguieta, follow the signs for Route N2 towards Kandi. Travel approximately 100 kilometers until you reach the junction for Route N3. Turn left onto Route N3 and continue for another 50 kilometers until you arrive at Kofouno, where W National Park is located. Be aware that the roads can be rough in some areas, so drive carefully. Expect to spend around 2-3 hours for this part of the journey, depending on road conditions.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    From Comoe National Park, you will first need to get to the nearest city with a bus station, which is Tanguieta. You can hire a taxi or a local guide to take you there, which may cost around 5,000-10,000 CFA depending on your negotiation skills. Once in Tanguieta, look for a bus heading towards Kandi. The fare should be approximately 3,000 CFA. Upon arrival in Kandi, transfer to a local bus or taxi that goes to Kofouno. The fare for this leg will be around 1,500 CFA. The total travel time may take around 4-5 hours, including waiting times for bus transfers.

  • Combination (Car and Walk)

    If you have access to a car and prefer a more adventurous route, drive from Comoe National Park to Kofouno. Once you arrive in Kofouno, park your vehicle in a safe area near the entrance of W National Park. From there, you may need to walk approximately 2 kilometers to the main entrance of the park. Ensure you have adequate water and wear comfortable shoes as the terrain may be uneven. The drive should take around 2-3 hours, and the walk should take about 30 minutes.
