If you are starting from the Cotonou Central Market (Marché Dantokpa), exit the market and head east on Rue 390. Walk straight for about 15 minutes, passing by local shops and eateries. You will know you are close when you see the large monument ahead. Place des Martyrs will be on your left as you approach the intersection.

If you are at the Cotonou Beach (Plage de Cotonou), head north on Avenue Jean-Paul II. After a 20-minute walk, turn left onto Rue 390. Continue walking, and after about 10 minutes, you will arrive at Place des Martyrs, which will be on your right.
