From the Ouidah market (Marché de Ouidah), head south on Avenue des Nations Unies. Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the main road, Route de la Plage. Turn left and walk for another 500 meters. You will see the entrance of Fort Français Ouidah on your right, near the beach.

If you can rent a bicycle, start from the Ouidah town center. Cycle along Avenue des Nations Unies heading south for approximately 1 kilometer. At the intersection with Route de la Plage, make a left turn. Continue cycling for about 500 meters on Route de la Plage until you spot Fort Français Ouidah on your right. The fort is close to the coast and is easily recognizable.
