Getting There

  • Car

    From Jakar, the main town in Bumthang Valley, head east on the road towards Ura for approximately 20 kilometers. Look for signs indicating a left turn towards Singye Dzong. Continue on this road for about 5 kilometers until you reach the parking area near the Dzong. Be mindful of the narrow and winding roads, and ensure your vehicle is suitable for Bhutanese mountain terrain.

  • Public Transportation

    Take a local bus or shared taxi from Jakar to Ura. Buses leave regularly from the main bus station in Jakar. The fare is typically around 100 Ngultrum. Once you reach Ura, you can hire a local taxi to take you to Singye Dzong. The taxi fare should be negotiated beforehand, and it will cost approximately 500 Ngultrum for the short drive to the Dzong.
