Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Jakar town, head south on the main road (Jakar-Jakar road) towards the Jakar Dzong. Continue walking for about 15 minutes until you reach the Dzong, which will be on your left. The Jakhar Dzongkhag Office is located just adjacent to the Dzong.

    If you're starting from the Jakar Monastery, exit the monastery grounds and turn left onto the main road. Walk straight for approximately 10 minutes until you reach the junction with the Jakar-Jakar road. Turn right and continue for another 5 minutes, where you will find the Jakhar Dzongkhag Office next to Jakar Dzong on your left.
