Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Take the Phuentsholing Highway (also known as the Asian Highway 2) towards Phuentsholing. After approximately 80 kilometers, you will reach the town of Phuentsholing, which is at the border with India. From Phuentsholing, continue on the highway for another 20 kilometers until you reach the Jaigaon View Point located at V92P+76R Gairigaon, Jaigaon, West Bengal, India. Parking is available near the viewpoint. Please note that you will need to have your passport ready to cross the border into India.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, start at the Thimphu bus terminal and take a bus heading to Phuentsholing. The journey takes about 2-3 hours and costs around 200 Ngultrum. Once you arrive in Phuentsholing, you can catch a local taxi or shared vehicle that will take you to the Jaigaon View Point for about 100-200 Ngultrum, depending on the vehicle and number of passengers. Make sure to inform the driver of your destination and keep your passport ready for border crossing.
Walking
If you are already in Jaigaon after crossing the border, you can walk to the Jaigaon View Point. From the town center, head towards the main road and follow the signs leading to the viewpoint. The walk is approximately 2 kilometers and should take about 30 minutes. This route is relatively straightforward, but be cautious of traffic along the main road.
