Getting There

    If you are driving, start from Thimphu city center. Take Norzin Lam and head towards the Tashichho Dzong. Continue straight until you reach the junction at the traffic light. Turn left onto the Chhukha Highway (also known as the Thimphu-Phuentsholing Road). Drive for about 7 kilometers, and then look for signs pointing to Semtokha. Keep an eye out for the turnoff towards Semtokha Dzong. Follow the signs for about 2 kilometers, and you will reach Simtokha Dzong, located at 846 Je Bamo Lam SE, Tshatshobaykha.

    To reach Simtokha Dzong using public transportation, start at the main bus terminal in Thimphu. Look for buses heading towards Phuentsholing or Semtokha.
