If you are driving, start from the main town center of Dagana. Head northeast on the main road, following signs towards Tshatshobaykha. After approximately 30 minutes of driving, you will reach the junction where you will see a sign for Simtokha Dzong. Turn left onto Je Bamo Lam SE and continue for about 10 minutes. The Dzong will be on your right side. There is parking available near the entrance.

To reach Simtokha Dzong by public transportation, board a local bus or shared taxi from Dagana to Tshatshobaykha. Buses generally leave every hour from the main bus station. The journey will take around 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Tshatshobaykha, ask the driver or locals for directions to Simtokha Dzong, as it is a well-known landmark. It is about a 15-minute walk from the bus drop-off point to the Dzong.
