Getting There

  • Car

    From Haa Valley, drive towards Paro. The drive will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. The road will lead you towards Paro Dzong. Once you reach Paro, follow the signs to Taktsang Monastery, which is also known as Tiger's Nest. You can park at the base of the monastery trail.

  • Public Transportation

    Take a local bus from Haa Valley to Paro. Buses run regularly and the journey takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive in Paro, you can either take a taxi or continue on foot to the Taktsang trailhead. Taxis are available near the bus station and will take you directly to the base of the Tiger's Nest trail.

  • Hiking

    From the trailhead, begin your hike towards Tiger's Nest View Point. The hike takes approximately 2-3 hours depending on your pace. The trail is well-marked, and you will encounter beautiful scenery along the way. Remember to bring water and snacks, as there are limited facilities on the trail.
