Car
If you are driving from Paro town, head east on the Paro-Thimphu Highway (NH2). After approximately 10 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the left fork towards Drakarpo. Continue on this road for about 5 kilometers until you reach a small parking area. From there, follow the footpath leading up to Drakarpo, which is about a 20-minute walk uphill.
Taxi
You can hire a taxi from Paro town to Drakarpo. The trip will take around 20 minutes and should cost you approximately 500 to 700 Ngultrum. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey. The taxi will drop you off at the parking area near the footpath, and you will need to walk about 20 minutes uphill to reach Drakarpo.
Public Bus
Public buses do not directly go to Drakarpo, but you can take a bus from Paro town towards Thimphu. Inform the driver to drop you off at the fork leading to Drakarpo (approximately 10 kilometers from Paro). From the drop-off point, walk approximately 5 kilometers to the left towards Drakarpo. Expect this trip to take around 45 minutes to an hour, including waiting time. The bus fare is about 30 Ngultrum.
