Car
If you are traveling by car within Phobjikha Valley, start from the main road heading towards Gangtey Monastery. Once you reach the monastery, continue on the road that leads towards Dungdungneysa. The road is generally well-maintained, but be cautious of the occasional pothole. After approximately 10 minutes of travel, you will see signs for Lawa La on your left. Follow the signs and continue for another 5 minutes until you arrive at the viewpoint. Parking is available nearby.
Public Transportation
To reach Lawa La via public transportation, catch a local bus or shared taxi from the main town area of Phobjikha Valley heading towards Gangtey Monastery. The fare is typically around 50-100 Ngultrum (Nu) per person. Inform the driver that you want to stop at Lawa La, as they are familiar with the location. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you reach the drop-off point near the monastery, you will need to walk for about 15 minutes along a well-marked path to reach the viewpoint at Lawa La.
