Car
From Tashiyangtse, head east on the main road towards Mongar. After approximately 15 kilometers, you will reach a junction. Take the right fork to continue towards Korila Pass. The drive will take you through beautiful landscapes and winding roads, so take your time and enjoy the scenery. After about 30 kilometers, you will start ascending towards the pass. Keep an eye out for the signs indicating Korila Pass. There may be a parking area near the top where you can stop to enjoy the views and take photos.
Public Transportation
From Tashiyangtse, you can take a local bus or shared taxi heading towards Mongar. The bus station is located near the town center. Buses leave regularly, but it’s advisable to check the schedule in advance. The journey will take around 1 to 1.5 hours. Once you reach Mongar, you can hire a local taxi or find another shared vehicle that can take you up to Korila Pass. The taxi ride from Mongar to Korila Pass will take about 30 minutes. Make sure to confirm the fare beforehand.
