Getting There

  • Car

    From Tashiyangtse, head towards the main road leading out of the town. Continue driving for about 20 kilometers on the road that leads to Jakar. Watch for local signposts indicating the direction to Nyimalung Monastery. As you approach Jakar, you will see a sign for Nyimalung Monastery directing you to turn off the main road. Follow this road for approximately 2 kilometers until you reach the monastery. Parking is available near the entrance.

    Start at the main bus station in Tashiyangtse. Board a bus heading towards Jakar. The fare should be around 100-150 Ngultrum per person. The bus ride will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.
