    From the center of Thimphu, start at the Clock Tower Square. Head south on Norzin Lam, passing the Bhutan Post office on your left. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the main road, and turn left onto Chhoten Lam. As you walk, you will see the Tashichho Dzong on your right. Keep walking for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Kuenselphodrang. Turn right onto this road. You will begin to ascend a hill. Follow the road as it winds upwards; the statue will become visible as you get closer. After a 20-minute walk uphill, you will arrive at the Buddha Dordenma Statue.

  • Public Transport

    From the main bus terminal in Thimphu, take a local bus that heads towards Kuenselphodrang. The bus will take you close to the base of the hill where the Buddha Dordenma Statue is located. Once you get off the bus, you will need to walk uphill for about 15-20 minutes to reach the statue. Follow the signs that lead to Buddhas and ask locals if you need help.
