Car
If you are traveling by car from Trashigang Town to Zangsorong, head east on the main road (National Highway 2) towards Kangpar. After approximately 15 kilometers, look for the sign to Threlphu. Take the left turn onto the road leading to Threlphu. Continue for about 5 kilometers until you reach Threlphu village. Zangsorong is a short distance beyond the village, and you can park your car at a designated area nearby. Be cautious of the road conditions, as some parts may be narrow and winding.
Public Transportation
To reach Zangsorong using public transportation, take a shared taxi or a local bus from Trashigang Town to Kangpar. The journey will take around 30 to 45 minutes, costing approximately 50-100 Ngultrum. Once you arrive in Kangpar, you may need to hire a local taxi or walk approximately 3 kilometers to reach Threlphu. From Threlphu, Zangsorong is just a short walk away. Make sure to check the schedule for the return trip to Trashigang, as public transportation may not be frequent.
Walking
If you are in good shape and prefer a more adventurous route, you can walk from Threlphu to Zangsorong. The path is scenic and takes you through beautiful landscapes. From Threlphu, follow the trail heading towards Zangsorong for about 1 kilometer. It should take you approximately 20-30 minutes to reach your destination. Ensure you bring water and wear suitable hiking shoes.
