Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Trashigang town. Head east on the main road towards the direction of Yadi. Continue driving for approximately 6 kilometers, following the signs for Gongthung. Look for a road sign that indicates the turnoff for Gongthung. Turn onto this road and drive for another 3 kilometers until you reach the area marked 8GP8+58X. Parking may be available nearby.
Public Transportation
To reach Gongthung using public transportation, you will first need to catch a local bus from Trashigang town. Buses headed towards Yadi typically depart from the main bus station. The fare is approximately 50 Ngultrum. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at the Gongthung turnoff, which is about 6 kilometers from Trashigang. Once you arrive at the turnoff, you will need to walk the remaining 3 kilometers to reach Gongthung. Keep an eye out for any local taxis or shared vehicles that might be able to take you the rest of the way.
