Walking
From the center of Trashigang, head towards the Trashigang Dzong. Walk along the main road leading east towards the dzong. Once you reach the dzong, continue walking along the path that leads downhill towards the river. Cross the bridge over the river and follow the road uphill towards the east. Keep following the main road as it winds through the village and up into the hills. After approximately 3 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the road; take the left path which leads towards the Tawang War Memorial. Keep an eye out for local signage that points towards the memorial. The memorial will be on your right-hand side after another 1 kilometer uphill.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Trashigang. Start from the main square and head towards the Trashigang Dzong. As you approach the dzong, you will find a path leading downwards towards the river. Ride down the path and cross the bridge. After crossing the bridge, you will be on the main road leading uphill. Follow this road for about 3 kilometers. When you reach the fork in the road, take the left path. Continue riding for about 1 kilometer until you see the Tawang War Memorial on your right.
