Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car from Trongsa, head north on the Trongsa-Tsirang Highway. Continue for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the junction near Bumthang. Here, take the right fork towards Bubja. Follow the road for another 5 kilometers until you reach the parking area near the trailhead for Bubja Waterfall. The last stretch may require a 10-minute walk on a dirt path to access the waterfall itself.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Bubja Waterfall using public transportation, take a local bus or shared taxi from Trongsa to Bumthang. This journey typically takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Bumthang junction, ask the driver or locals for directions to Bubja. You may have to wait for a local taxi or hitch a ride to the waterfall trailhead. From the trailhead, it is a 10-minute walk along a dirt path to the waterfall.

• Hiking

  If you're an adventurous traveler, you can hike to Bubja Waterfall. Starting from the parking area, take the marked trail which leads you through scenic landscapes. The hike takes around 30 minutes, and the path is relatively easy to follow. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry enough water, as the area can be quite humid.
