To reach Gangtey Monastery by car from Trongsa, start by heading east on the road leading out of Trongsa town towards the east. Continue on the road for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction at Chendebji. At the junction, take a right turn towards Phobjikha Valley. Follow the road for another 20 kilometers, and you will arrive at the entrance of Phobjikha Valley. Continue driving for an additional 5 kilometers, and you will see the sign for Gangtey Monastery on your left. The monastery is located at the coordinates F5M7+WV9 Phobjikha Valley, Nubding. Make sure to check local road conditions, as they can vary, especially during the monsoon season.
Public Transportation
If you prefer to use public transportation, take a local bus from Trongsa to Phobjikha Valley. Buses leave from the Trongsa bus terminal several times a day.
