Car
From Tsirang, head north on the Tsirang-Phuentsholing Highway (NH 2). Continue driving for about 60 km until you reach the intersection at Damphu. Take a left turn onto the road leading to the Wangdue Phodrang district. Follow this road for approximately 45 km until you reach the junction near Wangdue Phodrang. Take a right turn onto the Punakha-Wangdue road and continue for about 30 km until you reach the town of Punakha. From Punakha, take the road leading to Paro (NH 3) and drive for about 90 km. Upon entering Paro, follow the signs towards the Paro Dzong. Drakarpo is located approximately 10 km from the Paro Dzong, situated on a hilltop. You may need to park your vehicle at the base and hike up to reach the shrine.

From Tsirang, take a local bus heading towards Thimphu. The journey will take approximately 3-4 hours. Once you arrive in Thimphu, transfer to another bus or taxi heading to Paro. This trip typically takes about 1 hour. Upon reaching Paro, you can take a taxi or local transport to Drakarpo. It’s about a 15-minute drive from the center of Paro to the base of Drakarpo. From there, prepare for a short hike up the hill to reach the shrine. Be sure to check local bus schedules for the most up-to-date timings.
