Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major city, La Paz. Head west on Route 1 (Carr. Panamericana) towards Patacamaya. The drive will take approximately 2 hours. Once you reach Patacamaya, look for signs indicating Tambo Quemado, which is along the Carr. Patacamaya - Tambo Quemado road. Continue on this road for about 20 minutes until you reach the Chullpas site, located on the left side of the road. Be sure to keep your camera ready as the views along the way are stunning.

Bus
To reach Chullpas via public transportation, take a bus from La Paz to Patacamaya. Buses depart regularly from the main bus terminal in La Paz, and the fare is approximately 15-20 BOB (Bolivianos). The journey lasts about 2 hours. Once in Patacamaya, you can either take a taxi or a local minibus heading towards Tambo Quemado. The taxi ride to Chullpas will cost around 30-40 BOB, while the minibus fare will be around 5-10 BOB. The Chullpas site is about 20 minutes from Patacamaya.
