Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the main square in Copacabana, which is easily identifiable by its central church (Basilica de Nuestra Señora de Copacabana). From the square, head east along Avenida 6 de Agosto, following the road as it curves. Continue walking until you reach the end of the street, where you'll find a signpost indicating the path to Cerro Calvario. The trail begins at Sendero al Cerro del Calvario. The hike is moderate and takes about 30-45 minutes to reach the summit, depending on your pace.

    If you are near the waterfront, walk towards the northern end of the beach, where you will find Avenida 6 de Agosto. Take this avenue to the main square as mentioned previously.
