From the main road on Bjelasnica Mountain, head towards the village of Umoljani. Continue on the road until you reach the intersection with the road leading to the Rakitnica Canyon area. Follow the signs for Kanjon Rakitnice. The final stretch will require driving on a gravel road. Make sure your vehicle is suitable for off-road driving as some sections can be rough. Public Transportation
Take a bus from Sarajevo to the village of Umoljani. Buses run regularly from the central bus station. Once you arrive in Umoljani, you may need to arrange a taxi or a local ride to reach the Rakitnica Canyon area, as public transport does not extend directly to the canyon. It’s advisable to ask locals for a taxi service or arrange this in advance. The taxi fare might range from 10 to 20 BAM (Bosnian Convertible Mark) depending on the distance and negotiation.
