From Sarajevo, head southwest on the M17 highway towards the town of Hadžići. Continue driving for about 20 km until you reach the intersection with the M62 road. Turn left onto the M62. Follow the M62 for approximately 15 km, passing through the village of Umoljani. Look for signs indicating Rakitnica Canyon, and keep an eye out for parking areas along the road. The closest parking is around the coordinates M62P+J53. Once parked, you may need to hike a short distance to reach the canyon area.

Take a bus from the Sarajevo bus station (Autobuska stanica) to the town of Hadžići. Buses operate regularly, and the journey takes about 30 minutes, costing around 3-5 BAM. From Hadžići, you can take a local taxi or look for a nearby bus service heading towards the M62 road. Ask the driver to drop you off at Umoljani, which is close to Rakitnica Canyon. Once you arrive in Umoljani, you will need to hike to the canyon, so be prepared for a short trek.
