Originally built in 1551 by Rustem-pasha, the Grand Vizier of Suleiman the Magnificent, it functioned as a bustling marketplace for silk imported from Bursa, Turkey, hence the name 'Brusa Bezistan'. Today, this historic covered bazaar has been transformed into a museum, serving as an annex to the Museum of Sarajevo. The museum's collection is divided into three chronological sections: prehistory, ancient times, and the Middle Ages.
