Getting There

Walking
Start at the main square in Trebinje, Trg Slobode. Head south on the main street, Vuka Karadžića, until you reach the intersection with the street Njegoševa. Continue straight on Njegoševa for about 500 meters until you reach the bus station. From there, you can take a local bus heading to Herceg Novi. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Herceg Novi, follow the signs toward the city center. Walk towards the waterfront, and you will see a small bridge leading to Forte Mare Fortress on your left. Cross the bridge to reach the entrance to the fortress.

From the center of Trebinje, make your way to the bus station located at the north end of the city. Purchase a ticket for a bus going to Herceg Novi. Buses to Herceg Novi are frequent and the journey takes about 30 minutes. After arriving in Herceg Novi, exit the bus and head towards the waterfront. Look for the small bridge on your left side; the entrance to Forte Mare Fortress is just across that bridge.
