Parque das Aves: A Bird Sanctuary Amidst Iguazu's Majesty

Nestled beside the world-famous Iguaçu Falls, Parque das Aves offers a unique and unforgettable experience, immersing visitors in the vibrant world of Brazilian and global birdlife. Founded in 1994 by Anna and Dennis Croukamp, Parque das Aves began with a passion for birds sparked by a grey parrot. Today, it stands as Latin America's largest bird park, dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and conserving birds, many of whom have been victims of animal trafficking or habitat destruction. The park features several immersive aviaries where visitors can walk among macaws, toucans, and other colorful birds. The experience extends beyond birds, with reptiles like alligators, anacondas, and boa constrictors also calling the park home. Don't miss the butterfly house, where you can observe diverse butterfly species and hummingbirds.
