Ferry

To reach Praia de Arrecifes, begin by taking a ferry from the mainland to Ilha Grande. Ferries commonly depart from Angra dos Reis, where you can find them at the main terminal. The ferry ride takes approximately 1 hour and costs around BRL 50. Make sure to check the ferry schedule in advance as it may vary.

Once you arrive at the Vila do Abraão port on Ilha Grande, head towards the main street, Rua da Praia. From there, follow the signs directing you to Praia de Arrecifes. The beach is about a 1.5-hour hike from Vila do Abraão along a well-marked trail. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water and snacks for the journey, as there are no facilities along the way.
