From Copacabana, take bus lines 582 or 584, which will drop you off at the main entrance on Rua Jardim Botânico. Bus fare is approximately R$4.70. Alternatively, take the Metro to Botafogo station and transfer to the Metrobus towards Gávea, ride for five stops. Then it is a short walk to the entrance. The metro fare is R$7.50.

Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber are readily available throughout Rio de Janeiro. A taxi from Copacabana to the Jardim Botânico typically costs between R$30 and R$40, depending on traffic. If driving, note that the Botanical Garden does not have dedicated parking for visitors. Limited metered parking is available at Praça Santos Dumont, but spaces are scarce. A better option is to park at the Jockey Club near Praça Santos Dumont, where Botanical Garden visitors may receive a discount with validation from the garden's ticket office. Alternatively, parking garages are located on Rua Jardim Botânico, with hourly rates around R$12 and daily maximums between R$40-R$50. Examples include the garages at R.
