Start your journey at the nearest metro station to your location. Take Line 1 (the light blue line) towards General Osório. Get off at the 'São Conrado' station. From the station, exit onto Avenida Prefeito Mendes de Morais.

Once you are on Avenida Prefeito Mendes de Morais, look for bus stops along the road. You can take bus number 583, which goes to 'Pedra Bonita'. Ask the bus driver to let you know when you arrive at the stop for Pedra Bonita.

Walking
After getting off the bus at the Pedra Bonita stop, you will need to walk for about 15 minutes to reach the trailhead. Head towards the entrance of Parque Nacional da Tijuca, which is well marked. The trail to the top of Pedra Bonita begins here.

The hike to Pedra Bonita takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Follow the well-marked trail which is mostly shaded and offers beautiful views. Be sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring water.
