Taxi/Ride-Share
From Ciudad del Este, taxis or ride-sharing services like Uber or Bolt are readily available. A ride to Monday Falls takes approximately 15-20 minutes, with fares ranging from $5 to $8 USD, depending on traffic and your exact location. Negotiate a return trip with the driver, as finding transportation at the falls can be challenging.
Public Transport
Local buses run from Ciudad del Este to Presidente Franco, where the falls are located. The bus fare is affordable. The journey takes about 30 minutes. From Presidente Franco, it's approximately a 1 km walk to the entrance of the falls. Check with the bus driver to ensure the bus is going to Saltos del Monday and not just Avenida Monday.
Walking
From the central plaza in Hernandarias, walk south on Calle 14 de Mayo until you reach Avenida Paraná. Turn left and continue until you find the pedestrian path leading to the edge of the river. From here, follow the riverbank trail towards Presidente Franco. The walk will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you reach Presidente Franco, follow local signs to Saltos del Monday.
