Getting there

Bus

From Rio de Janeiro, take a bus from the Novo Rio Rodoviária (bus station) to the Terminal Rodoviário de Petrópolis. Buses run frequently, approximately every 90 minutes, from early morning to midnight. The trip takes about 1.5 hours. From the Petrópolis bus terminal, you can take a taxi or local bus to your destination in the city.

Taxi
