    Discover more about The Baths

The Baths, located on the southwestern tip of Virgin Gorda, are a geological marvel and a must-see destination in the British Virgin Islands. This unique area features massive granite boulders, some as large as 40 feet in diameter, scattered across white sandy beaches and surrounded by turquoise waters. These boulders create a stunning landscape of tidal pools, caves, tunnels, and grottoes, inviting exploration and adventure. The Baths' geological history dates back millions of years when volcanic activity caused molten rock to rise and slowly cool into granite. Over time, erosion shaped these granite formations into the unique boulders seen today. The area was established as a National Park in 1990 to protect this natural wonder. Visitors can explore the Baths by swimming, snorkeling, and hiking through the boulder-strewn landscape. A popular trail leads from the beach at The Baths to Devil's Bay, guiding explorers through small spaces, wading pools, and boulder-filled areas. Devil's Bay offers a more secluded beach experience with its pristine white sand and clear waters. Spring Bay, another nearby attraction, provides a quieter alternative to The Baths with similar boulder formations and excellent snorkeling. The Baths are open daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a small entrance fee of $3 for adults and $2 for children. Facilities include restrooms, lockers, and a snack bar. For dining options, visitors can check out the Top of the Baths restaurant and bar, which offers panoramic views, or the Mad Dog Cafe near the entrance.
