Walking
From the Bandar Seri Begawan City Centre, head towards the main road, Jalan Sultan. Walk along Jalan Sultan until you reach the intersection with Jalan Istana Darussalam. At this intersection, turn left onto Jalan Istana Darussalam. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several local shops and eateries along the way. Keep an eye out for the large gates and entrance of Istana Darussalam, which will be on your right.

Public Bus
From the City Centre, you can take a public bus that heads towards the Sumbiling Lama area. Look for the bus stop near the main square, and board the bus heading towards Sumbiling. The fare is approximately BND 1.00. Inform the bus driver that you want to get off near Istana Darussalam. Once you get off, walk about 250 meters along Jalan Istana Darussalam, and you will reach the entrance of Istana Darussalam on your left.
