To reach Wasai Kandal Hike using public transportation, start at the Telisai bus terminal. Board a bus heading to Bandar Seri Begawan; ensure it stops at or near Jalan Muara. The bus fare is around BND 2. Once you arrive at the bus stop closest to Jalan Muara, you may need to walk or catch a local taxi to reach the hiking area. Alternatively, some buses may take you closer to VV7F+RRM, but confirm with the driver.
Car
If you are traveling by car from Telisai, start by heading towards the main road (Jalan Telisai). Follow this road until you reach the junction with Jalan Muara. Turn left onto Jalan Muara and continue driving for approximately 15 kilometers. You will pass through a few small villages along the way. As you approach Bandar Seri Begawan, look for signs directing you to Wasai Kandal, which is located at VV7F+RRM. Once you reach the coordinates, park your car at the designated parking area and follow the marked trail to the hiking entrance.
Taxi/Ride-Sharing
From Bandar Seri Begawan, the most convenient way to reach Wasai Kandal Hike is by using the Dart ride-hailing app, Brunei's equivalent to Uber or Grab. A ride from the city center to the hiking area (VV7F+RRM) will typically cost between BND 5 and BND 10, depending on demand and traffic. Dart cars are generally available in the city center, but waiting times may be longer in the outskirts. Cash and credit payments are accepted.
