If you're driving from the Telisai area, head southeast on Jalan Telisai towards Jalan Lumapas. Continue straight for about 12 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Jalan Tutong. Turn right onto Jalan Tutong and follow the road for approximately 8 kilometers. You will then merge onto Jalan Istana Darussalam. Look for signs directing you towards Istana Darussalam, which will be on your left. There is no entrance fee to access the area surrounding the palace.
