Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Ouagadougou, start at the Place des Nations Unies. Head south on Avenue Moussa Tavele for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Avenue Charles de Gaulle. Turn left onto Avenue Charles de Gaulle and continue for approximately 1 kilometer. As you walk, you will pass several shops and local eateries, providing a glimpse into the vibrant life of the city. Once you reach the roundabout, take the first exit onto Avenue de l'Indépendance. Continue straight for about 800 meters until you see a sign for Koulouba. Turn right onto Avenue de Koulouba, and after approximately 300 meters, you will find the Place de la Femme pour la paix on your left.

• Bicycle

  If you're renting a bicycle, start at the central market (Marché de Ouagadougou). Head north on Avenue de la Révolution toward the Place des Nations Unies, then turn right onto Avenue Moussa Tavele. Follow this avenue south for about 500 meters. Next, turn left onto Avenue Charles de Gaulle and cycle for about 1 kilometer. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Avenue de l'Indépendance, cycling straight for another 800 meters. When you reach the Koulouba sign, turn right onto Avenue de Koulouba, and after about 300 meters, the Place de la Femme pour la paix will be on your left.

• Public Transport

  To reach Place de la Femme pour la paix via public transport, take a shared taxi (taxi-brousse) from the central station in Ouagadougou. Board a taxi heading towards Koulouba. Inform the driver of your destination, and they will drop you off at the closest stop. From there, walk about 300 meters down Avenue de Koulouba, and you will find the Place de la Femme pour la paix on your left. Ensure to check the taxi schedule and confirm if they are going to Koulouba before boarding.
