Walking
Start at the center of Bujumbura, near the Place de l'Indépendance. Head southwest towards Avenue de la République. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach Avenue du Large, where you will see the shores of Lake Tanganyika. Turn left onto Avenue du Large and walk along the lake for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several local shops and cafes along the way. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with Avenue des États-Unis. Turn right onto Avenue des États-Unis and continue for about 2 kilometers until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenue du 13 Octobre. Continue straight for another 1 kilometer. You will see signs for the Livingston-Stanley Monument; follow the signs to the left. The monument is located in the Ramba area, accessible from the main road.
