Walking
If you are starting from the center of Bururi town, head east on Avenue du 13 Octobre. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 km until you reach the intersection with Avenue de l'Indépendance. Turn left onto Avenue de l'Indépendance and follow this road for another 2 km. You will pass local shops and markets along the way, providing a great opportunity to experience local life. After 2 km, you will see a sign for Mazuru on your right. Take this right turn and continue on this road for approximately 3 km until you reach the village of Mazuru. Once in Mazuru, ask locals for directions to Murinda; it is a well-known tourist attraction and they will guide you from there.
Public Transport (Motorbike Taxi)
From Bururi town center, head to the main bus station. Here, you can find motorbike taxis (commonly known as 'boda-bodas'). Inform the driver that you want to go to Mazuru. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Mazuru, tell the driver you want to go to Murinda. They will know the location and can drop you off nearby.
Hiking
For the adventurous, consider hiking from Bururi to Murinda. Start from the center of Bururi and take the same route as if walking to Mazuru, but instead of taking the road, look for trails that run parallel. This route is more scenic and provides beautiful views of the surrounding hills. The hike will take about 1.5 to 2 hours, and once you reach Mazuru, you can follow the local paths to Murinda. It's advisable to have a local guide with you for safety and navigation.
