Getting There

Walking
If you are in the center of Cibitoke, start at the main market area. Head west towards Avenue de la Paix, which is the main road. Continue straight for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the junction with Route Nationale 1. Turn left onto Route Nationale 1 and walk for about 500 meters. You will see signs leading to Gikuyu Village. Follow the signs and continue for another 2 kilometers until you reach the outskirts of Gikuyu Village. From there, follow the signs for Kivu Eco Retreat, which is located on WNk24 Road. The retreat is approximately 3 kilometers from the village center. Look for the entrance on your left, marked with a sign.

Bicycle
From Cibitoke, rent a bicycle from a local shop. Start your journey heading west towards Avenue de la Paix. Once you reach Route Nationale 1, turn left. Cycle along Route Nationale 1 for about 500 meters. As you approach Gikuyu Village, keep an eye out for the signs indicating Kivu Eco Retreat. The total cycling distance is about 6 kilometers from Cibitoke to the retreat. Be cautious of local traffic along the route, especially near the village.

Public Transport (Motorcycle Taxi)
From any point in Cibitoke, you can take a motorcycle taxi (known as 'moto') to Kivu Eco Retreat. Request the driver to take you to Gikuyu Village. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Once you reach Gikuyu Village, ask the driver to take you to WNk24 Road. The retreat is approximately 3 kilometers from the village center, and the drivers are familiar with the location. Ensure you confirm the fare before starting your ride.
