Car rental
If you are driving from the main entrance of Kibira National Park, head southeast on the main road towards Bujumbura. Continue along this road for approximately 20 km until you reach the roundabout at Avenue de l'Indépendance. Take the first exit onto Boulevard du 1er Novembre. RIVER NTAHANGWA is located at 540 Boulevard du 1er Novembre, which is about 2 km from the roundabout. Look for local signage indicating the river's location as you approach.
Public transportation (minibus)
From Kibira National Park, walk to the nearest bus stop where minibuses to Bujumbura operate. Take a minibus heading towards Bujumbura city center. The fare is usually around 1,000 BIF (Burundian Francs). Upon arrival at Bujumbura, ask the driver to drop you off near Boulevard du 1er Novembre. From there, it is a short walk to RIVER NTAHANGWA, which is located at 540 Boulevard du 1er Novembre.
