Start from the center of Espargos at the Praça da Liberdade. Head southwest on Avenida 1 de Junho towards Rua 1 de Maio. At the next intersection, turn right onto Rua de São Filipe. Continue walking until you reach the main road, where you can find local taxis or shared vans (known as 'alugueres') that can take you closer to Monte Curral.

Once you reach the main road, look for the aluguer vans heading towards the area of Monte Curral. You can ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest point to Monte Curral. The fare is generally low, around 50-100 CVE. The drivers are familiar with local destinations, so feel free to mention Monte Curral specifically.
Walking

After being dropped off by the aluguer, you may need to walk the remaining distance to Monte Curral. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions, as it may require some navigation through the surrounding paths. Be prepared for a bit of an uphill walk, as Monte Curral is located at a higher elevation. It should take about 15-20 minutes to reach the scenic spot itself.
