Getting There

  • Walking

    Start from the central area of Praia, near the Praca Alexandre Almeida. From the square, head south along Avenida 5 de Julho for approximately 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Avenida Amílcar Cabral. Turn left onto Avenida Amílcar Cabral and continue walking for about 200 meters. You will pass by several local shops and cafes. Keep an eye out for the local market on your right, which is a great place to grab some snacks. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout at the end of the avenue. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rua 1 de Junho. Continue on this road for about 600 meters. As you walk, you will see the beautiful coastal views on your left. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with Rua de Lisboa. Turn right onto Rua de Lisboa and after about 300 meters, you will find Homem de Pedra on your left. It’s a striking statue, so you should be able to spot it easily.

    From the center of Praia, head to the main minibus station located near the Praca Alexandre Almeida. Look for a minibus heading towards 'Achada de Santo António.'
