Walking
Start at the central square of Sal Rei, Praça Estrela. Head south towards the beach, following the main road (Avenida 10 de Setembro) for approximately 10 minutes until you reach the coastline. Once you arrive at the beach, turn left and walk along the shoreline for about 15 minutes, enjoying the scenic views. Continue walking until you reach a sign pointing towards Praia da Atalanta. Follow this path which will lead you through some sand dunes and local vegetation. After a short walk of about 5 minutes, you will arrive at Praia da Atalanta, located at coordinates 16.2035768, -22.8651713.

Bicycle
If you are renting a bicycle in Sal Rei, start from Praça Estrela and head south on Avenida 10 de Setembro, just like walking. After about 500 meters, you will reach the beach. Keep the coastline on your left and ride along the beach. The route is mostly flat and you can enjoy the sea breeze. After approximately 15 minutes of cycling, look for a sign directing you towards Praia da Atalanta. Follow the sign and take the path leading through the dunes for about 5 minutes until you reach the beach.

Local Transport (Collective Taxi)
From Sal Rei, head to the nearest collective taxi stand located near the central square, Praça Estrela. Look for a taxi heading towards Ponta Adiante. The ride will take about 10 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the closest point to Praia da Atalanta. Once you get dropped off, you may have to walk approximately 10-15 minutes following the directional signs towards the beach. The last part of the journey will be through a sandy path leading directly to Praia da Atalanta.
