    From Praia de Chaves, take a local 'aluguer' (shared taxi) to Sal Rei. Look for a 'Praia de Chaves to Sal Rei' route; the fare is typically around 3-5 CVE per person. The ride takes about 20 minutes. Once in Sal Rei, walk towards the coast and ask locals for directions to Reserva Natural Ponta do Sol, which is approximately a 5 km walk. Alternatively, you may find another aluguer heading directly to the reserve, but confirm the route and fare with the driver.

    From Praia de Chaves, head southeast towards the main road (Route 1). Follow the signs for Sal Rei. Continue on Route 1 for about 8 km until you reach Sal Rei. Once in Sal Rei, turn left onto the road that leads towards the coast, following the signs for Reserva Natural Ponta do Sol. After turning, drive for approximately 5 km until you reach the entrance of the reserve at coordinates 16.2134659, -22.9162827. There is usually no entrance fee for the park, but it's advisable to check ahead.
